Helping Couples Reconnect, Heal, and Thrive

Relationships are both beautiful and challenging. Every couple faces seasons of joy and seasons of struggle—whether it’s navigating conflict, recovering from betrayal, handling life transitions, or simply feeling emotionally disconnected.

I work with dating, engaged, and married couples to strengthen their relationship by:

  • Breaking negative cycles that lead to resentment and distance.

  • Rebuilding trust and emotional safety after betrayal or hardship.

  • Improving communication so you both feel heard and understood.

  • Deepening emotional and physical intimacy to bring you closer together.

  • Navigating major life transitions—marriage, parenthood, career shifts, or empty nesting.

No matter what brings you to therapy, I believe that every couple has the potential for healing and renewal—and I am here to guide you through that journey.

Why I’m Passionate About Helping Couples

I didn’t just become a couples therapist through education—I became one through life experience.

From the outside, my family looked perfect. We were deeply involved in ministry, my parents were leaders in the church, and we seemed to have it all together. But behind closed doors, things were unraveling.

It started with a devastating cancer diagnosis.

Then came financial struggles, an affair, and finally, divorce.

We lost everything—our home, our community, and our sense of stability.

I was left with so many unanswered questions: Could things have been different? Was there a way to prevent this pain?

This search for answers led me to pursue a Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. I immersed myself in understanding how relationships break down—and how they can be rebuilt.

Through years of training and mentorship, I developed an approach that helps couples move past pain and rediscover their connection.

What I’ve learned is this: most relationships don’t fail because of one person or one event. They break down because of patterns—patterns that can be changed with the right support.

Healing the Heart of Your Relationship

The Power of Safe Communication

One of the biggest challenges couples face is communication breakdown. When partners stop feeling emotionally safe, conversations turn into:

❌ Arguments that go in circles
❌ Defensiveness and shutting down
❌ Feeling unheard or misunderstood

Before couples can work through deeper issues—trust, intimacy, or parenting—they need to feel safe communicating with each other again.

Using The Gottman Method, I help couples replace criticism, contempt, defensiveness, and stonewalling with openness, curiosity, and connection.

Breaking Free from Negative Cycles

Many couples feel stuck in the same fights over and over—whether it’s about:

  • Money – Different spending habits, financial stress, or feeling out of control.

  • Intimacy – Mismatched needs, feeling disconnected, or struggling to rebuild after betrayal.

  • Parenting – Disagreements on discipline, values, or balancing responsibilities.

  • Extended Family Boundaries – Managing relationships with in-laws or outside influences.

Without guidance, these conflicts become exhausting and discouraging. I help couples identify the root of their struggles and replace harmful patterns with healthier ones.

Infidelity Recovery: Restoring Trust After Betrayal

When trust is broken, couples often ask: Can we ever recover from this?

The answer is yes—but healing takes time, commitment, and support. Infidelity doesn’t just cause emotional pain—it shakes the foundation of a relationship.

I guide couples through the three essential stages of healing:

1️⃣ Stabilization – Addressing immediate emotional pain and finding clarity.

2️⃣ Understanding the Why – Looking at what led to the betrayal, without blame.

3️⃣ Rebuilding & Renewal – Restoring trust, emotional connection, and commitment.

Healing doesn’t mean forgetting—it means creating something new, stronger, and more honest than before.

Pre-Marital & Discernment Counseling

For couples who are dating, engaged, or considering marriage, therapy provides a safe space to explore:

  • Compatibility & Core Values – Understanding differences and finding common ground.

  • Healthy Communication Skills – Learning how to resolve conflicts early.

  • Expectations for Marriage – Discussing roles, finances, faith, and family.

  • Emotional & Physical Intimacy – Building a strong foundation before the wedding day.

For couples who are unsure about whether to stay together, I offer discernment counseling—helping partners explore their relationship honestly and decide their next steps with clarity and confidence.

Final Thought

Every couple faces challenges, but struggles don’t have to mean the end of your relationship.

With the right support, you and your partner can rediscover joy, deepen your connection, and build a relationship that lasts.

If you’re feeling distant, stuck in conflict, or unsure about the future, therapy can help you find your way back to each other.

Let’s work together to rebuild, reconnect, and create the relationship you both deserve.
