Strengthen your relationships through understanding

Attachment Theory

Attachment Theory says that the ways in which people interpret messages and behave in their relationships are heavily shaped by the early interactions they had with their caregiver(s).

Through the work of John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth, 4 different "attachment styles" were identified:

  1. Anxious

  2. Avoidant

  3. Disorganized

  4. Secure
