At the Couples Recovery Center (CRC), we train the next generation of world class couples coaches.

​COUPLES FOCUS:
 

The main focus of your training will be on couples. In many coaching programs, you may see only a few couples, almost like it's an afterthought (even though couples coaching is one of the highest demand areas in therapy). 

 

EXPERIENCED TRAINING:

Your trainer will be Dr. Harry Motro or one of his colleagues. Dr. Motro has years of dedicated couples experience and teaches graduate level Couples Therapy and Family Systems. You can read more about him at www.harrymotro.com.

BROAD SKILLS DEVELOPMENT:

Since couples bring in every kind of problem (communication, parenting, sex, in-laws, money, boredom, conflict...), you will also build your competence in a broad range of areas. 

 

LEARNING:

We value coaches who are self-driven; hungry to constantly question your experiences and learn from them. Our goal is to support your passion for lifelong learning of coaching theory, research and practice.

CLIENT FLOW:

You will get clients from the overflow of couples seeking coaching from CRC as well as learn how to market and attract your own clients.

THE VIRTUAL WORLD:

Most couples coaching will be conducted remotely. If you would like to see clients in person, you will have shared access to an office that is set up for couples (chairs on wheels, whiteboard...) and is conveniently located near major crossroads.

BUILD YOUR OWN BUSINESS:

You will learn how to launch your own business, build your client base, and master the business side of being a therapist. This is an essential area that many new coaches do not get training in but desperately need.

MODERN & EFFICIENT:

You will learn how to operate your business efficiently with a paperless document management process. This will provide you with a hassle-free way to manage your client documentation and billing.

FEEDBACK:

You will be part of the development of an on-line tracking system to obtain key treatment metrics so you can continually learn how to improve your skills as a couples coach.

DIVERSITY:

We are committed to supporting coaches-in-training from underrepresented groups in entering the field of psychotherapy while making a living wage. Currently, more than fifty percent of our our CRC team are from groups who historically have not been equally represented in mental health fields.

For clients who express an interest in an integrating their faith into coaching, you will learn how to make spiritual growth part of a positive therapeutic experience.
